What are the best brands of tea?
Question by : What are the best brands of tea?
I'm thinking of having a tea party and would like to know what are some good teas that I should brew. I'm looking for good quality teas with strong aromas and flavors. Please tell my the brand and name of the tea as well as how good you thought it was. Also, any tea brands that I should avoid purchasing? Also links to the online shops would be greatly appreciated.

I love chai flavored tea…the best one for that is Good Earth brand! It has the most flavor! Here is the link to the website.

Twinings is the standard English excellent tea. It depends if you like fruity flavors with your teas. I prefer simple black tea, or what they call English breakfast tea. You should also google for tea specialty shops in your city, because they have unique teas you can’t find at grocery stores and it’s loose leaf which tastes better. Is it going to be a political tea party? If so, you don’t need actual tea, just lots of signs that say “Obama is a socialist”
PG Tips – it is now for sale in Safeways in the US.
It depends what you mean by a “tea party”, if you just mean serving regular cups of tea then some of the teas sold in regular supermarkets are just as good as some of the fancy specialist loose teas. Look for unblended teas if you want a smoother taste.
Brands of tea I like are: Dilmah, Twinings, Royal Duchy and the usual “gold label” supermarket own brands. Tea connoisseurs never ever put milk or sugar in tea, personally I don’t think a dash of milk ever spoils black tea (actually it should be called red tea) but to get the full flavor of tea it should be drunk straight up.
Make sure you use perfectly fresh water to make a decent cup of tea; run the tap for a little while until it comes out cold.
I love tea and have had great luck ordering from this place in Palo Alto…

As well as Stash Tea

The ones from Tea time are loose leaf so buy a few mesh spoons and follow the steeping directions. The ones from Stash aren’t quite as high quality, but also very good and come in tea bags individually sealed so they last longer.
Stash has a great assortment of dessert teas and tea time has several assortments as well. I really like genmai cha because it has a bit of a smokey flavor that’s rich and different.
